Sayil y Xpalak, zonas arqueológicas de la Ruta Puuc

SAYIL Y XLAPAK

Sayil y Xpalak separados por solo 5 km de distancia. Establecidos sobre la sierra de roca caliza de la región Puuc en la península de Yucatán, por lo que se vieron obligados a la recolección de agua por medio de Chultunes (traducción del maya, cisternas subterráneas). Aunque no lo crean en esta zona no había cenotes.

Sayil and Xpalak are only 5km apart. Established on the limestone mountains of the Puuc region in the Yucatan peninsula, they were forced to collect water through “Chultunes” (interpretation of Mayan for underground cisterns). Believe it or not , but in this area there were no cenotes.
